I have been a lifelong resident of West Michigan and have spent most of my life in Ottawa County. As a child, I attended a private church school, was home schooled for two years and graduated from Hudsonville High School in 1993. I attended Grand Valley State University where I earned bachelor’s degrees in political science and legal studies. My minor was in history.

While attending GVSU, I was a member of the College Republicans, Student’s for Life the Student Senate and made the Dean’s list. Seeing so many injustices within our political and legal systems, I continued my educational experience at law school.

At law school, I received an Honor’s scholarship and a Certification in Litigation. I also made the Dean’s list numerous times and was actively involved in many student activities such as being President of the Federalist Society. This society is a conservative and libertarian legal organization that advocates for textualist and originalist interpretation of the US Constitution. Thanks to the work of the Federalist Society, conservative justices were appointed to the Supreme Court that correctly over-turned Roe.

Over the years, I have honed my legal skills at a local prosecutor’s office, a local West Michigan law firm and from successfully handling hundreds of criminal cases at my law firm.

Buchanan, Ron Paul, Congressman Thomas Massie, Senator Rand Paul and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

I am a contrarian by nature and I enjoy taking on the Government and defending civil liberties.  I have a healthy skepticism of law enforcement but realize how important law enforcement is and that Ottawa County is blessed with many outstanding police officers and prosecutors.

I live with my wife and help meet Jeannie in Georgetown Township. My mom, dad, siblings, nieces and nephews all live in Ottawa County. I am huge sports fan. I am a life long fan of the Detroit Tigers, Lions and the University of Michigan.  I also enjoy traveling, Michigan’s great lakes, fishing, bird watching, pickleball and exercising at the gym.
